When the Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland first came to 5MT in 2013 and asked us to redesign their denomination’s website, we soon realized it was the largest, most complex project we had undertaken to date.
Talk about a challenging task — and exciting. Using WordPress with Custom Post Type, 5MT fulfilled the denomination’s desire for a flexible and customized content management system. There’s a comprehensive map of all their congregations, with a page for each one, integrated with whatever sermons each congregation has made available online.
Their archives, hundreds of sermon audio files and copies of their adult and youth publications (going back to 1920), we transferred to the new site — and wrote the script to automate much of that process. The church’s doctrinal convictions informed their appearance preferences, and the new site gracefully reflects their rich heritage in a mobile friendly, high quality design.
“On behalf of the Committee, thank you for all your work to get the site to launch. We much appreciate it, and we look to the God of all grace to make it a blessing to many across the world. We are really pleased with it.”
